How to Retrieve and Download Your Aadhaar Card Number:
If you've forgotten your Aadhaar card number, follow these steps to recover it:
1. Retrieve Aadhaar Number Online
- Visit the UIDAI Website: Navigate to the UIDAI official website.
- Find 'Retrieve Aadhaar Number': Click on the “Aadhaar Services” tab and select “Retrieve Lost UID/EID.”
- Enter Your Details:
- If you have your Aadhaar Enrollment ID (EID): Provide your Enrollment ID, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Email ID linked with Aadhaar.
- If you don't have your EID: Enter your Name, Mobile Number, and Email ID linked with Aadhaar.
- Receive and Enter OTP: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it to verify your identity.
- View and Download Aadhaar Number: Your Aadhaar number will be displayed on the screen. You can also choose to download it.
2. Retrieve Aadhaar Number via SMS
- Send an SMS: If your mobile number is registered, send an SMS to 1947 in this format:
UID STATUS <Your Aadhaar Enrollment Number> <Your Date of Birth (DDMMYYYY)>

3. Visit an Aadhaar Enrollment Center
- Locate a Center: Use the UIDAI Aadhaar Center Locator to find the nearest center.
- Provide Information: Bring a valid photo ID and necessary documents. Fill out the form and provide biometric data to verify your identity.
- Receive Aadhaar Number: After verification, you will be provided with your Aadhaar number.
4. Call UIDAI Customer Care
- Contact Support: Call 1947 or email help@uidai.gov.in for assistance with retrieving or downloading your Aadhaar number.

1. Use Aadhaar Virtual ID (VID)
